Why even bother?

In a recent video post, I discussed what I believe to be the most important lesson that we can learn in life:

The fact that we can die at any moment, that we honestly have no idea how long our lives will be.

Which is why we have to stop putting things off and start living our lives now.

But there’s also an interesting paradox.

If we’re just going to die at some unknown point, why even bother?

Why bother pursuing our dreams, fighting for what we believe in, trying to live a life that matters?

In my most recent video, I attempt to provide an answer to that question.

Check it out below and let me know what you think.

  1. I feel a compulsion to fulfill my dreams as well. I have a deep desire to live up to my high standards and ideals. After reading ‘Chase The Lion’
I believe it is possible to create God sized dreams. I have no idea how. I want to create a cruelty free health retreat where people come to discover their passions and purpose and how to achieve God sized dreams that benefit the planet. And even though l may be gone one day, my legacy and imprint will be left behind. My growth and Evolution is a must. I want to live a cruelty free life. I will never feel free unless i am living a life true to my heart. I recently got sidetracked by putting physical love and security before my dreams. I left my relationship yesterday to find a path that is truly loving to myself and the planet. I’m scared of drifting without a plan, sleeping in my car and loneliness in my search for my tribe. However i am more scared of living a life half asleep and unfulfilled. Blessings to you Ed

  2. whenever we put our delusions before others happiness and a true life of being of benefit and service to others, we will always be unhappy.. it is not about us, it is about being compassionate and generous for the benefit of ALL….

    1. Hmmm….well I tend to believe in balance. So it’s not one or the other but both/and.
