Some of the links below are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn a small commission. This commission comes at no additional cost to you and your use of my affiliate links supports the growth this website. I work as an affiliate for these companies because I have had positive experiences using their products and I believe that they can help your business too.

WordPress – I’ve been using for over 10 years. It’s the only platform that I use to build websites and the only one that I feel comfortable recommending. It’s also 100% free (though you will need hosting in order to use it).

FastComet – If you use WordPress than you need hosting. I recently switched my hosting from SiteGround to FastComet and I am VERY HAPPY with my decision. FastComet has excellent customer support, provides free website transfer, free SSL, and free backups. Oh, and my website loads just as quickly as ever! FastComet also has a 45 day money back guarantee. Highly recommended!!!

Check out my full FastComet review here.

WP Rocket – If you’re looking to improve your site speed, then WP Rocket is the tool I recommend! I’ve used many of the free caching plugins and had positive results. But several years ago, I switched to WP Rocket and the improvement in my website’s speed was impressive. Setting up WP Rocket is a piece of cake but if you run into any issues, they have amazing customer support. Buy with confidence! Pricing starts at $49 for a full year.

WordPress Page BuildeR

Elementor Pro –  I’ve tried all the major WordPress page builders. The Pro version of Elementor, in my opinion, is the easiest to use and has the most features for designing your website the way YOU want it. Plans start at $49 per year.

GRaphic Design Tools

Canva – I’ve tried all of the major graphic design tools and Canva remains my go-to-tool when I need to create an image for my blog or social media. You can get a lot of mileage out of the free version or upgrade to the paid version for as little as $9.95 a month.

Email Marketing Tools

ActiveCampaign – ActiveCampaign is my top recommendation for email marketing. ActiveCampiagn has some of the most powerful email marketing features and their price is more reasonable then their competition. They are also the only major platform that allows you to split test your automations. And ActiveCampaign is probably second behind ony MailChimp in total number of integrations. Start with a free 14 day trial (no credit card required!). Paid plans start at $9 a month.

Email Optin Tools

If you’re going to build an email list (and you should!), then you need to give people a way to optin to your emails. I have two recommendations, depending on whether or not you have access to Elementor Pro.

Elementor Popup Builder – The Elementor Popup Builder is what I use on this website. It’s exclusively available via Elementor Pro and includes popups, hello bars, bottom bars, slide-ins, and full screen takeovers. And you can use all of the various Elementor widgets to design your opt-in forms the way that you want. Eleementor Popup Builder is incuded as part of Elementor Pro, which you can buy for as little as $49 a year

Convertful – Before the release of the Elementor Popup Builder, I used Convertful to collect leads on my website. And I was a VERY happy customer.  Convertful  has every feature you could possibly want in an email optin tool inlcuding popups, welcome mats, floating bars, spin-to-win gamification, social subscriptions popups, and much, more more. They have a 100% free plan for those that are just starting out. Paid plans start at just $90 a year.

social Media Posting

SocialBee – For anyone who regularly posts to social media, SocialBee is my recommended tool. SocialBee posts to all major networks, includes evergreen posting to recycle your posts, has features to help grow your Twitter audience, and much more! You can start with a 14-day trial (no credit card required). Paid plans being at $19 a month

Online Shopping Carts and Stores

Selz – Selz is my favorite tool for selling digital products, services, or physical products. Selz is easy to set-up and provides lots of great options like coupons, pay what you want, one-click-upsells, and product license keys. You can start with a free 14-day trial (no credit card required). Paid plans being at just $26 per month.

Video Marketing Tools

Let’s face it…if you’re not doing any video marketing, then your going to get left behind by your competitors. Nothing is more engaging than videos! Here are some awesome tools that can help you market via video:

Dubb – Dubb allows you to create videos and then send them to clients, or potential clients, along with a customized call to action. Great tool for increasing client engagement! Dubb has a free plan with limited features available. Monthly plans start at $32 a month (receive 10% off if you buy with my affiliate link).

InVideo – Invideo is an app that you can use to create marketing videos for your business. Or you can use it to turn your blog posts into videos! Either way, InVideo is an easy to use app with lots of flexibility to create videos the way you want them to be. InVideo has a Free Forever plan with limited features; paid plans start at $10 a month.

VooPlayer – VooPlayer is a video hosting service that allows you to add a variety of marketing tools to your videos including buttons, overlays, optin forms, and gates (email, share, pay). You can also create video funnels, “watch and win” contests, and automated evergreen “live” videos. VooPlayer has a “Free Forever” plan with limited features; paid plans start at just $14 a month.

Meeting and Appointment Scheduler

Calendly – I’ve tried out a lot of different meeting apps over the years and Calendly remains my favorite. The interface is incredibly clean, making it super simple for your clients to use. Calendly’s free plan works great for anyone who’s just starting out. And when you’re ready to upgrade, paid plans start at only $8 a month.

Live Streaming

BeLive – BeLive allows you to create livestreams on FB and Twitch using solo, interview, and talkshow formats. And if you’re on a budget you can do two 20 minutes lives per week for free. Oh, they also have awesome and super fast customer support! Paid plans start at $24.99/month

YouTube Channel Growth

TubeBuddy – TubeBuddy is a browser extension that integrates direcetly into YouTube to help you manage your channel. TubeBuddy has a ton of features….my favorite are the SEO tools that help your videos rank higher by finding keywords and tags for your videos. They have a free Chrome extension that you can use. Paid plans with more features start at only $9/month.

Beamer – Beamer is an embeddable widget that you can put on your website to notify of visitors of important news, latest updates, special offers and more. And they have a free plan that you can use if you’re just starting out. Paid plans start at $49 per month.
